The Grand FranAllie

It was a treat to work with a talented actor/writer that is as full of grace, intelligence, and unflappable good humor as Angie Ip. I hope it happens again.
– Carleen Kyle
Director / Past President of Women in Film and TV Vancouver

A short film written and made by women, about women. Written by Angie Ip and Zosia Cassie and directed by Carleen Kyle. The Grand FranAllie tells the story of childhood best friends, Frannie and Allison, who realize that they might not have so much in common. Is The Grand FranAllie worth saving?
The New Romantics

Angie is dedicated, level-headed, and compassionate in all that she undertakes. She is as committed to her craft as she is to uplifting those around her on any film set. Her past professional life as a healthcare professional shines through her and gives so much strength to the performer she is in her present life. Anyone would be lucky to have her as a part of their production.

Angie is a great listener, a great collaborator, and an amazing actor.
I can’t recommend her enough.
– Morgan Bowles
Director

Angie Ip plays the android Seven in director Morgan Bowles‘ experimental short film on media consumption and assimilation.
Angie Ip is a terrific actress with great confidence in herself and her abilities. I cast her in my experimental short film in a role that some actors might stray away from. Angie, however, was different. She embraced the character with open arms and, together, we discovered new ideas, themes, and meaning in the film that I never even saw before she was cast.
